What Do You Seek?

When two of John’s disciples saw Jesus, He said to them, “What do you seek?”

This question resounded in my heart this morning.  We’re not told what they were seeking, perhaps they themselves didn’t know.  Regardless, they decided to leave John and follow Jesus.  The disciples are unnamed.  I wonder why, what happened to them.

I think that Jesus is still asking that question.  What DO we seek when we turn to Him?  Sure sometimes we ask and ask and ask. We come to Him with our lists.  But I think there is so much more that He really wants to give us.

As I mediated on that question, I said, “LOVE.”  I want to really know your love that I can give it freely away.  The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, and when it is proclaimed in love, it is irresistible!

A Sobering Word from Lance Lambert

As with all prophetic words, test it against the Word of God.  If it lines up, even if the words seem harsh, accept and act on it. j

******************

It is well with you that you intercede for Israel that she be saved, for it is My purpose to save her. I will complete the circle of Redemption that began with Abraham and my promise that a great nation would come forth from him, and that in him would all the families of the earth be blessed. And so it has happened! For Israel became the vehicle through which:

  • My Word has come to all the nations;
  • and also My Salvation;
  • and the knowledge of My Purpose.
From this nation, above all, came the Messiah.
Soon the fullness of the Gentiles will have been saved, and I will turn again to Israel, to My Jewish People. They shall be reingrafted into their own olive tree, and My promise to Abraham will be gloriously fulfilled. Then their hardness of heart will melt, their blindness be turned into sight, and their suffering to radiant Glory. This is My determined purpose, and I shall not be turned from it. It will shortly begin to be fulfilled. I will turn all their weakness into unbelievable power, and I will use this nation as the last witness to the world as to who I am.

Take very seriously what is taking place in the Arab world. It is no good for Israel! It is not a move toward freedom and true democracy, but an enormous gain for militant Islam. They will seek to annihilate and liquidate Israel, but they will not only fail; their strength and power will be broken, and a huge harvest of souls will be saved from amongst them.

Hear Me, I call you to intercession! It will not be easy. All the powers of My enemy are centred and focused on stopping this people from coming into My Redemption and Salvation. But he will fail! I look therefore for those who will stand in the gap, who will build up the wall; those who will stand in the place of intercession.

Shortly also I will begin more serious judgment on the Western nations. I will bring them to nothing; I will turn them upside down; I will grind them to powder. They will not know what has hit them. It will seem as if there is nothing left of what once I worked in those nations; Especially that Superpower. I will bring it to weakness; she will no longer be super, but a pity of the nations.

Hear this Word of Mine; I call you to intercede for those who belong to Me in those nations; that they will be saved from it! Hear this cry. My heart yearns for those who belong to Me, that they might be clear in their understanding, clear in the way that they are to walk in the midst of all this. Do hear Me! For I speak to you who love Me, and who have this morning remembered Me; I do not desire judgment, but judgment of the most serious and devastating kind will fall upon those nations. Hear this Word from Me, and obey My call to intercession!

THE HOLOCAUST

Today- Holocaust Memorial Day- some 80,000 aged survivors of that Nazi horror recall the nightmare, which was no dream.  The rest us who do not carry such memories daily stood in silence as all the air raid sirens in Israel blasted a long three-minute wail over the Holy Land.  It was the wail of some six million Jews who were silenced by the Nazi death machine. All traffic stopped and drivers got out of their cars and stood in silence. I watched some Arab workers who did not stop as I stood and looked up to Heaven.

Then the roar of Israeli air force fighter jets shattered the silence of the skies.  My dog nobly barked at them. I thanked G-d for that sound of those Jewish knights of the sky. Soon after I heard the voice of Israeli children at school singing the Israel national anthem, Ha Tikva- the Hope.

It is forgotten by our enemies and critics that the State of Israel was founded on the human ashes of that Holocaust.  Those that are daily attempting to deligitimize the existence of the Jewish state proclaim that our living here is the reason for the trouble of the region, if not the world, as if this world was a better and more peaceful place before its founding three years after the Holocaust and the violence of World War II.

Today we face the same threats of destruction daily from our neighbors, close and far. The Hamas on our southern border and the Hizbullah on our northern border and Iran a few miles to our east all have armed and regularly proclaim their desire to annihilate us from the face of the Earth.  But we remember, and we take those threats seriously.  Perhaps it is no coincidence that this very day we received news that the arch-terrorist of the Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, enemy of Zion and the West, has been killed by American forces.

Next week we will celebrate Yom Ha Atzmaut- Israel’s 63rd Independence Day- with picnics and celebrations and music and prayers.  On June 6th we will remember the 6-Day war of 1967 when Israel defeated the Arab armies that attacked Israel unprovoked, declaring our annihilation.  They did not succeed and, instead, the whole of the Biblical Land of Israel, including the Golan and Jerusalem, was delivered back into the hands of the Jewish people after 2000 years.  That fact is forgotten by much of the world who proclaim that the reason for the problems of the Middle East are the Jewish communities existing now on the West Bank, and the presence of the Jew in the Old city of Jerusalem.  It is conveniently forgotten that in 1967 there were no settlements on the West Bank and no Jews in the Old City of Jerusalem, which were both under Arab sovereignty. Nonetheless that war intending the destruction of the Jewish state was launched. But we remember.

Interestingly, Yom Ha Aztmaut becomes Yom Ha Atzemot by switching a couple of letters.  “Atzemot” are “bones”, and recall the prophecy of Ezekiel chapter 37 of the “atzemot ha yaveshot”- the Dry Bones.  This prophecy declares that G-d will re-gather the dry bones of the House of Israel who say, “Our hope (tikva) is lost”, but G-d in His sovereignty and faithfulness to His covenant with Abraham will bring the Jewish people back to the land of their forefathers.  And here we are, back in the New-Old Land.

It is with sadness and with joy that we remember, and do not forget.

THE BIGGEST MATHEMATICAL MIRACLE

The Biggest Mathematical Miracle Ever

The Biggest Mathematical Miracle In The World!!!” Moses and the people were in the desert, but what was he going to do with them? They had to be fed,  and feeding 2 or 3 million people requires a lot of food.  According to the Quartermaster General in the Army, it is reported that Moses would have to have 1,500 tons of food each day. Do you know that to bring that much food each day, two freight trains each a mile long would be required!  That is why God provided them with manna each day!   Besides you must remember, they were out in the desert, and they would have  to have firewood to use in cooking the food. This would take 4,000 tons of  wood and a few more freight trains, each a mile long, just for one day.  The manna came fully cooked but what about the quail?  And just think, they were forty years in transit. Oh, yes, they would have to have water. If they only had enough to drink and wash a few dishes, it would take 11 million gallons a day & a freight train of tank cars 1,800 miles long, just to bring water! God provided water from the rocks.   And then another thing, they had to get across the Red Sea in one night.  If they went on a narrow path, double file, the line would be 800 miles long  and would require 35 days and nights to get through. So, there had to be a  space in the Red Sea , 3 miles wide so that they could walk 5,000 abreast to  get over in one night. Who else but God could build a road so fast? But then another problem… Each time they camped at the end of the day, a campground two-thirds the size of the state of Rhode Island was required or a total of 750 square miles. Think of it! This space just for nightly camping. There weren’t any Walmarts or K-Marts out there in the desert… so for 40 years their clothes or shoes did not wear out! Just think, they didn’t even have cell phones to stay in contact with each other.   Do you think Moses figured all this out before he left Egypt?   I think not!   You see, Moses believed in God.  God took care of these things for him.

…….. Now, do you think God has any problem taking care of all your or my needs??
